Every day is a great day to be American, but today is one of the greatest!
We come from all walks of life, from every social class, trade, and institution.
Our roots include African Americans, Asians, Europeans, Indigenous Americans, and almost everyone, everywhere!
Americans are descended from nearly every race, color, and religion.
We are nation united in republican democracy, liberty, and justice for all.
On this two hundred and forty eighth Independence Day we celebrate our freedom and our rights. We commemorate the generations of great Americans who paved the long and at times arduous road that led to this remarkable nation we have today.
We celebrate our individualism and our differences, because here it is okay to be different. And we thank God for all the goodness in the world.
