Happy World Elephant Day! As most of us know, elephants are the largest land mammals on earth with long, silly trunks. This global celebration was created to help bring attention to these hurting animals. Asian and African elephants are decreasing in numbers due to habitat loss and poaching. Although they are loved by cultures and people around the world, it is not enough to stop the horrors they go through.

How Can We Help?

Some ways to help these poor creatures are by donating to conservation groups or visiting elephants in non-exploitative environments. Especially in areas where they are under protection and care.  On this day, August 12th, express concern and your knowledge of elephants to help protect them.
