James Earl Carter Jr.

October 1, 1924 – December 29, 2024

 

Today we mourn the passing of the 39th President of the United States and we celebrate the accomplishments of his long life. Jimmy Carter served in the United States Navy, as a Georgia senator, and as the governor of Georgia before being elected President of the United States in 1976.

 

James Earl Carter Jr. was an activist, humanitarian, and all-around good man. He will be remembered for his outstanding community service and for the fine example he set for all.
