A World Day for Glaciers Special

Glacier Watch

 

Today there will be celebrations from Paris to New York and across the globe to discus the impact glaciers have on communities, ecosystems, global water security, and sea levels.
 
This first World Day for Glaciers will focus on the increasing threats melting glaciers present across multiple fronts.  
 
The hope is foster international cooperation on environmental policies and increased scientific research and monitoring efforts.

How Can We Help?

 

What can we do on this World Day for Glaciers to help the cause? Excellent question. Saving the world’s glaciers involves the same key rules as combatting climate change.
