Spring Air Quality?

Spring has arrived, despite our friendly groundhog’s shadow. People are opening windows and sucking in deep breaths of sweet spring air. Many are heading out for baseball season, golfing, hiking, picnics, and every sort of outdoor activity.

Chicks are chirping, trees are budding, and there’s something special in the air. Pollen. It’s near time when you’ll have to wash your car twice a day to keep the green haze off.

Even those not allergic can experience eye and lung irritation from pollen. You’ll hear coughing and wheezing on line at the grocery store, at restaurants, in the office, everywhere. Don’t feel alone; Springtime allergies, often referred to as hay fever, affect over eighty million Americans per year. Following is a short guide to help navigate the air quality issues of spring.

Spring Air Quality Tips

Close Windows and Doors when Allergen Levels are High.

Change Clothes when Exposed to Pollen and Allergens.

Change Home Air Filters and Clean HVAC Systems.

Humidify Overly Dry Air and Dehumidify Humid Air.

Use an Indoor Air Purifier to Remove Indoor Pollutants.

Ventilate during Spring Cleaning to limit Dust and Fumes.

Be Safe This Spring, 2025!
