Nature and the Environment posted an Aquatic Animal Day special by Katelin Kukk on a primeval survivor adapted to life in warm coastal areas of the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America. Expert underwater photographer Reinhard Dirscherl contributed photographs of this immemorial crocodilian.
